This Privacy Policy explains how Global Catholic Match ("we", "us") collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you use our website and app.

1. Information We Collect

• Profile information you provide: name, date of birth, gender, relationship status, faith and denomination, education, occupation, location, photographs, a description about yourself and what you are looking for in a partner.
• Contact information: email address and phone number.
• Verification documents: identity documents you choose to upload so we can verify your profile.
• Activity: interests sent and received, profile views, favorites, photo requests and messages on the platform.
• Payment information: the plan you buy and the payment reference. Card details are handled by our payment processors; we never see or store them.
• Technical information: IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, login times, and cookies (see section 6).

Information about your religious beliefs and your photographs is sensitive. We use it only to provide the service — showing your profile and suggesting compatible matches — and you control who sees your photos.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Create your profile and show it to other registered members
• Suggest matches based on your preferences
• Let members express interest, request photos and contact each other according to your settings
• Send service messages such as login codes, verification, interests and match suggestions (you can turn off non-essential emails at any time)
• Process payments
• Keep the community safe: verify profiles, prevent fraud and misuse, and respond to reports
• Understand how the service is used and improve it
• Comply with the law

3. How We Share Information

Your profile is visible to other registered members according to your privacy settings. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the service, bound to use it only for that purpose: website hosting and email delivery, payment processors, Google (Firebase) for app notifications, and Google Analytics for website analytics. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect the safety of our members. Our service is operated from India and your information may be processed outside the United States.

4. How Long We Keep Information

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your profile and delete or de-identify your personal information within 90 days, except where we must keep certain records longer by law (for example payment records).

5. Your Choices and Rights

• View and edit your profile, control your photo privacy, hide your profile, and unsubscribe from emails at any time.
• Delete your account and personal information.
• Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia and other states), you may have the right to know what personal information we hold, get a copy, correct it, delete it, and opt out of its sale or sharing for targeted advertising. We do not sell personal information.

To make a request, email info@globalcatholicmatch.com from your registered email address. We will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.

6. Cookies and Analytics

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences, and Google Analytics cookies to understand how visitors use Global Catholic Match — for example which pages are visited and whether registration was completed. Google receives technical information such as pages visited, device, browser and approximate location; it never receives your profile details, name, phone number, email address or photos. You can block these cookies in your browser settings without affecting how the site works.

7. Security

We use encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords, access controls and regular backups. No online service is completely secure, so please keep your password private and tell us about anything suspicious.

8. Age

Global Catholic Match is only for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and we delete such accounts when we find them.
